Meidrim and District Welfare Committee is made up from members of all the groups within the community. There are 1,2 or 3 representatives from St David’s Church, Bethel Chapel, Gibeon Chapel, Ffynnonbedr Chapel, Meidrim W.I., Meidrim Senior Citizens Association, Youth Hall Committee and Meidrim Community Council. Also the County Councillor, Community Council Clerk, School Headteacher, and three lifetime members, Emrys Morgan, Glyn James and Malcolm Herbert.

The committee also co-opts people who have shown a valued interest in supporting the fund-raising efforts. All funds raised go towards the ongoing upkeep and refurbishment of “Y Berllan”, the children’s play park.

The Welfare Committee is open to suggestions from the community and aims to bring everyone together at fund-raising events such as Meidrim Weekend/Carnival.
